Acid rain
The glossary of statistical terms, published by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), defines acid rain or acid precipitation as: ‘… any form of precipitation (rain, snow, hail or fog) whose acidity has been increased through the intake of acid pollutants from the air.’
